See associated performance event announcement for May 12 at the Rialto theatre, the evening before the workshop.

Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer is a nationally acclaimed and award-winning Colorado poet. She is a former Poet Laureate of Colorado's Western Slope. She co-hosts Emerging Form (a podcast on creative process), Secret Agents of Change (a surreptitious kindness cabal) and Soul Writer’s Circle. Her poetry has appeared on A Prairie Home Companion, PBS News Hour, O Magazine, American Life in Poetry, on Carnegie Hall stage, and on river rocks she leaves around town. Her collection Hush won the Halcyon Prize. Naked for Tea was a finalist for the Able Muse Book Award. She is the author of over 13 published works. Her most recent collection is All the Honey, due out in April.

Her one-word mantra: Adjust.

The Loveland Poet Laureate program and Columbine Poets - Northern Chapter welcomes her for a Friday evening performance at the Rialto Theater and a Saturday morning workshop in Rialto’s Devereaux Room. Both events are fundraisers. Friday night's performance ticket price is low and donations above the price are welcome. Saturday's morning workshop has a suggested donation of $15 - $25.

Quotes from those who have seen her perform:
“Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer dazzled the audience. Her animated delivery of her poetry goes beyond reading and into full blown performance; story told in dramatic verse; literary creativity, combined with music and audience interaction. Anyone that had previously thought of poetry readings as dull or boring might walk away from this with a new perspective on poetry, or even a new perspective on life, from the inspirational quality of verse which was presented brilliantly.”
—Kaye Lynne Booth, Examiner.com
“I’m not a poetry advocate—I have never understood it. But Rosemerry had me in the palm of her hand in about 30 seconds.”
—Caroline Morrell, President, Grand Junction Writers
