The Veronica Patterson Loveland Poet Laureate (VPLPL) program Encountering a Poet series continues with local poet Geroge Kalamaras examining the life and writing of James Wright (1927-1980). Wright, raised in Ohio during the Depression, speaks of the Midwest, hard working people, nature and the human spirit. He won the Pulitzer Prize in 1972. In this generative workshop, participants will learn more about Wright’s processes and style and have opportunities to work on their own writing.
