About Lorrie Wolfe

Lorrie Wolfe is an award-winning poet, freelance editor, and technical writer. She served as poetry editor for RISE: An Anthology of Change, which won the 2020 Colorado Book Award.

Lorrie received a 2023 Pushcart nomination and also won the 2023 Fledge Poetry Chapbook Award from Middle Creek Press for The Language of Crows. She was named Poet of the Year at the Denver Ziggies' Poetry Festival. Her work has appeared in The Mountain, Earth’s Daughters, Pilgrimage, Pooled Ink, Plant-Human Quarterly, Encore, and more.

Lorrie is a member of the Loveland Poet Laureate Advisory Committee and a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Colorado State University. After many years as a community organizer, she still believes in the power of words to unite and move people, including poets. Her two-word mantra is “Show up.”
